You can surprise a planner

I am a big fan of birthdays. Not necessarily my own, but I love celebrating the birthdays of friends and family. When my hubby asked what I wanted to do this year, I replied with my standard "really doesn't matter to me." Helpful response I know! Being the planner that I am, surprises are definitely out. Or so I thought! I knew that I wanted to run our annual Jingle Jog. It's a great way to kick off the holiday season, and this year the race was on my birthday morning. It's such a festive race- runners dress up like Santa, reindeer, and even angels. The best part is all of the dogs dressed up for the holiday- too cute. Saturday morning we headed to the race, decked out in our Christmas elf hats and Santa socks. Much to my surprise my family, my in-laws and some of my best friends were there to surprise me! It was such a fun surprise!

My mom adorned this sweatshirt with cupcakes and feathers! It said "birthday girl" on the back :)

That cute preggo on the right (yes she is pregnant- hard to believe!) power walked the entire race, and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl less than a week later. What a friend!

After the race I bolted to a hair appointment (sending the hubs into a timing panic)! I wasn't aware that he had arranged yet another surprise. We arrived at brunch to find the best friends and family waiting for us! Eddie had arranged a private little room with our own delicious brunch set-up. What a hubby!!! I still can't believe that he surprised me! That is not an easy feat :)

My favorite

Even my favorite lil buddy showed up for the surprise! He was so good!

Handsome boys! Drove in from Athens and Columbus- so sweet!

I love these girls

My in-laws drove all the way from North Carolina- just for the day!!!! They are the best.

My mom and dad- love em!

Thank you Eddie for the perfect birthday celebration!!
