Stylish Scribbles

I just heard about a great new venture! A high school friend (another Katie) has launched an invitation and stationery business. I love the name - Stylish Scribbles. Katie sent me a blurb about Stylish Scribbles below. You must check it out!

Who doesn't love going to the mailbox to find a colorful or beautifully addressed envelope? Invitations set the tone for the event. A sweet announcement entices others to celebrate with you. Elegant stationery with a handwritten note can touch the heart. I wanted to find a place where all of these papers lived and this lit the fire to create Stylish Scribbles. Stylish Scribbles is an online destination for personalized stationery and invitations. We represent over 12 lines of distinctive stationery. Let us help you celebrate your event! You can find us online 24 hours a day and also look for us on Facebook.

Good luck Katie!  Thanks for sharing!

Mexico!

We were able to alleviate some of that honeymoon envy when we arrived in Playa Del Carmen! There is just something about sand between your toes and a pina colada in hand that makes everything seem glorious! We have been trying to plan a vacation with one of our favorite families for years now. Magically we found dates that worked for everyone! It was an awesome trip!

Can't beat this view! Part of our group testing out their sailing skills

I adore this picture! Pure happiness! Mr. Kate and Campbell himself.  He's been known to load and unload a few SUVs over the years, and can wield a mean chain saw when making log cake plateaus!!

E's dessert plate

Great presentation! This is something even I could do :)

I loved the decor in this restaurant. So fun and funky

My favorite

I can't say enough about this group of people. Truly some of the most caring, fun, happy, positive people I know. Love them to bits

I am going to master latte art in 2012

Because this is a wedding blog... setting up for a beach front wedding. It took them at least 8 hours to set this puppy up!

 Fun fun trip!

Melissa and Rob

For this wedding we had the pleasure of working with a very hilarious mother of the groom. She was a hoot and kept us laughing for months. The bride, Melissa, was a joy to work with. She was just ready to be married- love that! They are a precious couple and we wish them much happiness!

Awesome flowers from Darryl Wiseman

Such a pretty bride! Gorgeous dress and a lovely vintage veil

Really like these pew arrangements, in beautiful glass hanging votives

The guest book table was complete with a tree of black and white family photos

LOVED this! Pictures that the bride and groom had taken of the sky for the guest book

Snow table all set for their departure- silver snow cones filled with eco-friendly snow! Perfect for this freezing cold departure!

Guests were having a blast! Purtian Mill is such a neat space

Really cool trees that the MOG made! These lined the sides of the room

One of my favorite cakes- scrumptious

A glorious winter wedding!!! Congrats Melissa and Rob!

Valentine's Day

According to Wikipedia Valentine's Day "is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines")." I used to love Valentine's day in Elementary School. I had a blast making my Valentine box and passing out handmade valentines to all of my classmates. As I got older, the holiday become more of a nuisance- a bummer if you aren't committed and way too much pressure if you are. I like to make Valentine's Day simple around here. All this girl needs is candy. Well, not just any candy- one large bag of conversation hearts. They have to be Brach's- store brand is no good) The large, not the small- they aren't as sugar filled and tasty. Oh and if you can take out the pinks, they aren't my favorite- that would be great. Actually, make that two bags for back-up. Simple right? :)

Whether your Valentine's Day is simple or complex, Gifts.com has a nifty gift guide to help match the status of your relationship to the appropriate gift!

What you think? Love Valentine's Day or not a fan?
